Keeping track of the day
Moving through Saturday, with little of note. Our forecast snow show hasn’t started, but to be fair the forecast did mention midnight. In the same way that I have to check the day of the week by looking at my computer clock, the idea of midnight is done by deduction. Yes, time blurs, when you are home for weeks on end.
It doesn’t affect me, but the idea of getting takeout burgers from a local restaurant seems overly complicated. Phone in the order, drive down (time required may vary according to the warp speed of the driver), get home, lay things out. Is a cold burger still worth the effort, or should I go to plan B which might involve a frozen pizza. We’ll see. What I really want is a big sub sandwich. That’s due to my watching various food prep videos, especially one which describes a Turkish style “doner”.
It’s early May, and the hummingbird watch is underway. According to the online maps, the little sugar-buzzards should be here at the first of the week. Will I be ready?
After careful tests, I’ve decided that one of my SodaStream cylinders is probably scrap. Or, as I see it, aligned for a trade-in. I mean, paying for another air fill is hardly overkill. I’d hate to have to wait on my bubbly water because a) the in-service cylinder crapped out or b) I didn’t get my home refill act together. Having to chill the equipment for a night means that I have to plan ahead. Are you following? When I’m required to check a computer clock to even know what day of the week we’re in, some things are harder.
