A friendly shovel competition
Every once in a while, what seems like a simple task can get competitive. Today, I was reminded that I should clear off the deck (again), before temperatures went up and the load got weighty. I agreed, and with my best shovel technique, I moved all the snow from up above to down below. If we ever need access to the septic tank, we are in a pile of trouble.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the house, someone got all task oriented. The walkway is now clear, down to the pavers. The front step is amazing. And there’s a path that goes all around the generator cabinet and over to the propane tanks. I have to say “thank you”, knowing that I would never have got around to all that effort before the next scheduled thaw (Friday, maybe?)
I’ve been reviewing the video catalog of certain not-yet-famous performers. It’s a great way to get that face and name link that I need. Have you checked out Janet Devlin? How about Patty Gurdy? Come on, expand your musical horizons. There is a lot of talent out there, even if you don’t hear them on your car radio/iPod system.
What to do when you get a call from your satellite dish provider, wondering if you would be interested in their service? Easy. First, ignore the caller ID. The only person that I know who doesn’t fake that feature is my own mother. Next, if the background sound seems to be a really successful group meeting, it’s fake. Bell doesn’t have that many friends.
