Check the oil with that, sir?

This is not a reprise: Any time that resources are limited, the abuses seem to rise. Just check the gas pump prices (currently at 1.23/litre for regular around here).

What seemed outrageous yesterday is a bargain today. We’re not through the month of slow snow melt and already I’m planning a vacation that is within walking distance of home (not really…) OK, I’m planning a vacation that requires a lot of walking. If current prices continue to climb at a rate that requires my mastering graphing of linear equations, the bicycle will make a comeback. That “velo” at $7600 we saw recently might yet be a bargain…

Meanwhile, the tax vampires are reassuring us that there will be no respite. Just keep the purse strings loosely tied; we’ll have further need of your diminishing resources to pay for our diminishing resources.
