While I still spy with my little eye
Before going an further, I want to give a special shout out to my pilot. I’ve taken a voluntary demotion, from co-pilot to preferred passenger, due to the variable visibility. With today’s tail winds, we made the flight from a small field near WEP, arriving in the area of YHZ on schedule. Pay no attention to my current QTH; the hangar isn’t located in the same location… at all.
So, back to (my) reality. I’m “over across” for some medical tourism tomorrow morning. In the meantime we have arranged for an extra blanket, and gone out for a wonderful steak dinner. Please, no jokes about a “last meal”. My stress levels are already high. We’re in the same room in the same hotel as the last time, and I think I’ve figured out the convoluted logic of the elevator call buttons.
There are three cars serving each floor, except for the garage. Trying to make a direct run from L2 down to P1 is fruitless. The dog now understands that we will criss-cross the hallway, at least once on an average trip. Outside, his preferred shrubberies are still where he left them, so we don’t have to spend long periods exposed to the damp, chilly air of this city.
I don’t know if I’ll be “here at the keyboard”, tomorrow evening. If I can’t see, I can’t transcribe. Maybe there’ll be a delay, with a burst of catch up, or maybe I’m going to have to rethink this whole blog. We shall “see”, I guess. Maybe music will move to a new level of importance, come 2019.
And in politics, all of the Island political parties now have leaders. In place, should the writ drop. With the recent chapter of the PNP story that W5 aired this evening, distraction is more important than ever.
