Scrambled radio
Now that I sit on the other side of the table, I realize that getting a job is as much jumping through hoops as anything else. I was lucky; rarely had to sit for interviews during my thirty-plus years of proving my employability. This new “role”, where I’m helping with the staffing of local tourist sites, means giving a quick read of a stranger. Does this person have the “right stuff”? I really should reread the novel with the same title.
Came too close to a claw, this afternoon. As it touched my eyeball, I was already in rapid retreat. The blink reaction saved me from injury, but given that I have only one good eye in play, this could have been much more serious. Note to me: stand clear, especially from a pet that actually likes me.
The microSD card on my Internet radio is scrambled, so I spent part of the afternoon trying to reload the image file. Took two tries to find a card without errors. Guess buying cheap pieces from eBay is a less than effective way to go. I’ll reconfigure the network section tomorrow, and hope that I’m good for another long term of background music. And before I offer a similar setup to anyone else, try to learn why a given software load would bomb so completely.
The NK-US summit is now behind us. From what I can read, this was simply a photo op. Big noise, small outcomes. Kind of like the man behind the whole routine.
