Fair freezer fare

posted in food |

A long weekend, with no place to go. A small clarification, no way to go any place. I’m not going to be out in the markets, or the malls, or any other place frequented by strangers. So, if you thought you saw me – your bad.

I did accept the light rainfall as a good thing. Makes the lawn green up, and perhaps pushes the field next door to show its seasonal colours. Given that “they” didn’t even plow this year, I’m going to assume this is fallow land. Trying to recharge the soil before the next assault of the tubers. A little rough in texture for a soccer pitch.

Found myself checking the availability of “gaming dice”. I don’t D&D, but I did wonder just how many ways one could generate a random number while pretending to be hunting dragons (or whatever else lurks in a dungeon with dragons. Outside my experience, but the dice are available at a bargain price on eBay; a toonie for a handful of numbered facets. They seem very small, so I could purchase a set and simply keep them in a sock drawer in case the need arises.

Into freezer fare. That pizza with the solid crust isn’t going to impress anyone else. Perhaps the dog will share, once he realizes that it has the same texture as kibble fused at the junction points. Soon, frozen lasagna. I’m spoiled by the variety, don’t you think? Saves worrying about “how do I prepare this veggie”? And when I run out of frosted marvels, I’m going on a diet of machined bread and yogurt with granola.
