The UPEI strike is through day ten and counting. The faculty association and the administration have studiously ignored the real issues, held their respective lines in the shifting sands and decided that the money is never quite enough, either in the bank or in the pay cheque.

Meanwhile, close to four thousand students, having paid their fees and signed the loan papers, sit and wait. Is there any brain power left on campus???

The university recently “fired” a professor emeritus for his Weale deal, where students were offered 70% for not showing up to an overcrowded class. Now, the university is hinting that four thousand students will be offered their respective credits after completing less than 70% of the course work. Hello?
