No mixing microbial strains, please

posted in environment |

Based on the kitchen calendar, this is the final evening at the campground. I’m unsure; I’ve only stayed away from the house for that first evening. Trying to juggle five varieties of eye drops is too much for the generalized setting of a campground washroom. I already feel “under the weather”, in part due to the chemistry. No sense (from my viewpoint) of mixing in some new microbial strains. To those who want to watch the fire burn until bedtime… enjoy.

No, I’ve been willing to accept that the dog and I are taking care of things around the home. That can be summed up as “feed the dog” and “let the dog go in/out”. And I did manage to BBQ some food along the way. All good, right? The tent and associated gear will be back in the house, this time tomorrow.

After realizing that we no longer have the fallback position of a stocked Radio Shack in this area, I’ve gone on eBay to find some needed phone plugs. Two sizes, in fact. The promise that they’ll be delivered before wintertide is all I can go by. Either that, or I start dismantling working gear to get parts. Not productive. I’ll just have to look forward to the small mailer filled with a dozen phone jacks, coming in about the time that school reopens.

Not much else to add. This will be another quiet evening spent waiting to fall asleep. Perhaps the coyotes will serenade. Maybe the stars will come out, and I’ll be amazed at the view here with no artificial lighting to annoy.
