The movie will have to wait
Nothing to see here. Move along. The movie of my day-to-day life will have to wait; still insufficient action. Yes, this is a beach day. I watched others prepare for the moment, and then the dog and I remained behind to mount the castle guard. And there were ships, tall ships, just beyond the fetch of the telescope. I knew they were “out there” but saw nothing in the haze. Perhaps conditions will improve. Perhaps the evening news will provide better coverage.
I’d love to offer you more, but right now I’m a vicarious observer to the action around me. Even the grass is more active. Don’t worry, I’m happy (perhaps I can turn that into a song… oh, too late…) At least I have the keys to the house. Not likely to lock myself outside.
And in keeping with my passive role, wait until I check the news feed. On Twitter, the photo of a transport truck with a homebrew license plate was interesting. I guess they haven’t caught him yet. Maybe he’s doing a James Bond car thing with the truck and putting new plates (sic) whenever he thinks the authorities might be on to the scheme.
In the courts, the famous continue to receive mistrials, and the guilty get concurrent sentencing. How is that even a thing? Do they get extra cell space, or meals, or a second orange jumpsuit?
And on the radio… summer festivals are all the rage (no, not rage; no anger involved). I could have won free tickets to a show, if I had taken the time to pick up the phone and call.
