Only the money will change

posted in Uncategorized |

The King will remain at Blamoral Castle overnight, and return to London tomorrow.

There it is. Breaking news, and the passing of power. No “fake election” games there. In the Unitied Kingdom, the plans have been written out (and rehearsed). Years ago, with just the date left as a detail.

All of the good songs have not been already written. However, with Steve Windwood singing softly in the background, I realize that a lot of good verses have been.

I watched one of those documentaries that add to my knowledge base, in a field where I will never have to wander. Rebuilding a steam locomotive. Big job. Heavy. Hard to find people that have the requisite skill set. I didn’t realize that (even) the lubricating fluids are out of production, and someone had to find an alternative.

Amazon delivered my new USB3 cable. They are an amazing firm, when you think about it. If I had been required to go to the city, wander from shop to shop seeking what I needed… getting recharged would have been delayed. Severely. Now, the new iPad is showing 100%. Not much money, either. If I behead another cable, I’ll know where to turn.

The rare bird list is now paused, while we try to spot a “brown thrasher” which is lurking among the trees. For ds now. People have been stopping by. My noisy Jay doesn’t attract the same level of interest.

The knife saga from Saskathewan has also ended. Sort of. The question of how you go from “arrested” to “dead” in one brief morning is, as yet, unanwered. Asked, yes. But we will have to wait for the veil of mystery to be parted.
