Meal planning, needs guidance
Right now, what I would really like to have is a “Magic 8-Ball”. A purpose built model. One that would help with the most important question I have faced, so far today.
What should we have for supper?
There was a discussion, a little earlier, involving hamburgers. We had been listening to a rather long comedy compilation on YT, about fast food chains. And for some reason, BK kept coming up. For us, that’s a long drive away. Plus, I suspect the food would be cold and wet after the return trip. Not designed for a microwave recovery step. I declined, which brings us back to the 8-Ball.
What if we went into the canned food stocks, in the pantry? Is this the right weather for (microwave) clam chowder? Give me a a moment to ponder that one. Or we could go to the local takeway, and I could score a big box of fries with a couple of beef tacos. Not as found in the food court, or in Mexico. But good.
How about a sandwich of fresh bread and mayo, with processed cheese? I liked it, the last time around, but that may be a response to strong hunger pangs. I think we have some frozen fish pieces in the freezer; a bit of time in the air fryer, and we can call it a regional delicacy. I did not mention fish stocks, for the record.
I have some fresh fruit here (clue” fruit flies), and I could whip up a fruit salad that beats the canned kind in heavy syrup. I don’t have any cans in the pantry, but we could pretend, as to the provenance. Or, I could call up the Internet, order randomly and then guess at how long the delivery will take. If I give a fictional address, it could be epic.
In the end, we settled for a frozen pizza from the freezer (best place to store food that is frosty).
