I whacked a weed or two
Things can be more dangerous. My conclusion, after today’s session outside.
Like other people that have to cut the grass and then cut whatever is left over, we have a weed whacker. Whipper snipper. Other names that I don’t remember. The tool has a long thread, made from plastic, that whirls at high speed (there’s an electric motor, with rechargeable batteries). As the strand spins, it cuts weeds and other greenery off at the base. I use it to destroy flowers. The “big” version has a wire, or a chain, and you can seriously draw blood below the knee. As I said, we have the home version, so death is unlikely.
Here’s the hitch. If you can’t see where you are cutting, you might as well close your eyes and wait until darkness falls. Today, I wanted to remove those pesky grass stems that find their way between the paving stones on the walkway. I think I improved the state, but I will wait for consulation. Happily, I don’t seem to losing blood, so I guess today’s mission was a success.
This is the same tool that I “reloaded”, recently, and I am not sure I did it as intended in the (missiong) manual. I had low volume expectations, and low harvest. Again, I’ll wait for the curitical acclaim, and maybe reload the spool. There’s next week to fine tune my results. After that, random growth (weed style) will reset the clock. I won’t provide any photos.
So, that’s Sunday in the burbs. Or Saturday. I run on flex time, and the days of the week are just a minor detail.
