A supply of just in case books
Getting new stuff brings a bonus. New instruction manuals. I am aware that for many of you, that is an annoying waste of space, but it can be fun.
With the new refrigerator in the van, we now know that the door can be reversed. Mirrored. Not something I had considered, but then again I have not thought this through.
Similarly, the new microwave comes with a second button shoot menu, in a different language. I did check with an expert, and the translations are OK to go. Good, in a mobile setting.
There are many more pages to read before I will consider my learning to be done. With luck, I will not have to consult any of the texts during an emergency, because the documents will probably be safe at home.
What else? Well, we will need to find a source for tiny plastic hole fillers, that mask screw heads. I know, I should not be tring to disassemble anything, but I want to be on top of the challenge. A lifetime of learning, obviously. Apparently we have a fridge thermometer in place, which is more high tech than sticking my head in and feigning astonishment at the frigidity. Or warmth. Turning on the power is a requirement, since ice boxes are now a thing from the distant past. Yes, I have seen one. No, I have never seen ice being delivered. Too young.
We will not be mirroring the doors on the home fridge. They are double, and that would be overkill. Also tricky. Symmetry.
