Eat every little bit
I trust I am not boring you with my eye-tales. Not to be confused with i-tales, as trademarked by those people that sell fruit pretending to be computers.
So, today was a ZAP day, where really tiny surgical stitches get obliberated using a laser beam. On the eyeball, which means that I couldn’t actually see what was happening. Even if I wanted to. Now, such technology is kept in a special basement section of my local hospital. Travel day! Due to the bright sunshine, I spent both ways convinced I was in high hevel snowstorm. Waiting to go off the road, at any moment. One more reason why I am not driving there, or anywhere else. I just sat back and listened to classic rock radio.
Of course, not only was it bright, but it was cold. Winter cold. We were worried that the dog, with his own fur coat, might find it uncomfortable, so we preheated the car, preheated the dog’s bedding, preheated anything else that came to mind. All before heading for the hospital. While I did my best outpatient performance, the dog languished in comfort.
And then we went home. I swear, this might have been the storimiest day I neve did see. Actually, the pnly bad visibility was found within minutes of home (or so I’ve been told).
And if that wasn’t enough, the mail carried a written invitation to come back to the big hospital, in the big city, in just over a week That doesn’t excite as much as it might; I’ll explain. This is Canada, and we have a world class reputation for being polite. This is also a country with socialized medicine.
Remember how your mother told you to eat everyting on your plate? That’s how we handle health care. Lots on your plate, and you eat every bite, mister! I like the level of care, really. Includling the zappy bits, and multiple professionals, and multiplle-province locations. I’m in, all 101%.
