Seems like a short time ago

posted in history |

Just checking my agenda, and our classes are all over. No, hold on there Rip Van Winkle, that was the 1976 agenda pages.

Thirty years ago, I was starting “Reading Week” in my senior year at UPEI. A full load of psychology courses to finish off, so that I would a) graduate b) with a major. I’d just completed my best class attendance ever; no absences. The stress levels were low, because I knew my material unlike in earlier years. All in all, I’d had a decent semester.

What strikes me now is that it seems like such a short time ago. I’ve done a lot of other stuff since then, met a lot of interesting people, but that spring in Memorial Hall holds a special place in the memory areas. Whatever my education cost, in terms of bank payments, it was worth the price.
