Spread it, thin
We were warned. Throughout the afternoon, a persistent risk of thunderstorm activity. The web alarms were sounded. On Twitter, photos of black skies from the west, and piles of new hail in the hedgerows. I waited; for all my heightened state of alert, I listened to a few low-pitched booms from waterward. Here at home… nothing. Maybe another day.
