The first fall of the season
Now that temperatures are flirting with that “Will it freeze?” moment, there’s an eventual moment when somebody has to fall. Hopefully, not far or hard. But the contact with the ground is a given. This morning, the first drop of the season. Off the front step… The dog. A bit too energetic, trying to get in out of whatever it was that was falling in the hours before sunrise. No injury, other than to pride. Yes, even dogs have pride.
